FAQs

  • Yes! We do require appointments so every client can experience the service they deserve. To inquire about availability, call our shop at (205) 406-5151 or email us at fdvbridal@gmail.com!

  • We ask that you refrain from getting a spray tan or using sunless tan products within 72 hours of your appointment.

    Wear light makeup. We try hard to keep our sample gowns in great condition for every bride!

    Set a budget, and don’t forget to include alterations. Alterations are not offered at our store and will be a separate charge from any dress/accessories purchased at our store.

  • Here’s what we think you should bring:

    -yourself & anyone you want with you if you say ‘yes!’ to the dress

    -hair ties/claw clips for veils & accessories

    -OPEN MIND! Brides often leave with a dress completely different from what they thought.

    Optional items to bring/wear: light/nude undergarments, spanx, and any wedding accessories you may already have (shoes, jewelry, etc.)

  • Bring up to 8 of your most fun and supportive friends and family that you want there when you find your dream dress! It’s hard recreating the moment you find the one so we highly encourage you bring anyone with you that you want there when you find the perfect one.

    While we do enjoy & love little ones, please call the store prior to bringing any guest under 10 years of age. Little ones require a lot of your attention, and we want to make sure all of your guests can be present with you for this moment.

  • Our gowns range from $1,500 to $4,000.

    We recommend setting a budget prior to your appointment and sharing it with your stylist once you arrive in store. We promise to only show you gowns within your budget unless it’s approved by you.

  • Special order gowns can take 4-6 months to arrive. We recommend ordering your gown 10-12 months before your wedding to allow for delivery & alterations.

    IF YOU HAVE A SHORT TURN AROUND TIME:

    We do offer ‘off the rack’ gowns at a discounted price that you may buy and take with you the same day. It’s important to note that as a newer store, our off the rack gown selection is smaller than other stores.

    Some designers also offer rush shipping for an additional fee.

    If you have a short wear date, please include your ceremony date when you book your appointment!!!

  • We do NOT offer in-house alterations at this time. However, we do have a list of recommended seamstresses in our area. Ask your stylist during your appointment or call our store for our list of recommended seamstresses.

  • We accept cash, debit & credit cards, and checks.

    We require a 50% deposit of your total order amount to submit orders to our vendors.

    The remaining 50% will be due at your try-on appointment once your special order arrives. We offer payment plans of 2 or 4 installments on the remaining amount once the initial 50% is paid.

  • Cancellations MUST be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid a $75 fee. To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call our store at (205) 406-5151 or email us at fdvbridal@gmail.com.

    If you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment without prior notice, we reserve the right to consider this a ‘no-show’ and the card on file will be charged a $75 fee.
